How to change the package name and app name (Android)

Change the app name

Edit app/src/main/res/values/strings.xml and update app_name.

Change the package name

  1. In Android Studio, switch the Project view to Android.
  2. Update applicationId in app/build.gradle.
  3. Right-click the package › Refactor › Rename.
  4. Replace google-services.json with one generated for the new package in Firebase.

Change the icon

Right-click res › New › Image Asset and select your 512×512 logo.
