Billing on autopilot: renewals, reminders and auto-suspend

How renewal invoices, reminder emails, suspension and reactivation work — no cron needed.

Hosting Automation Updated Nov 02, 2026 1 views

Every hour the website checks all services and domains. On cPanel hosting this runs automatically while your site gets visitors; you can also add a cron job for exact timing.

The timeline

  1. 7 days before the due date (configurable) a renewal invoice is created and emailed.
  2. 3 days before, on the due date and 1 day after, a payment reminder is sent.
  3. 3 days overdue (configurable) the account is suspended automatically on cPanel / SonicPanel / Centova and the customer is told why.
  4. When the invoice is paid, the account is unsuspended automatically and the next due date moves forward one billing cycle.
  5. Optional: terminate after X days overdue (off by default — termination deletes the account).

Settings

Admin › Settings › Billing & Domains: invoice days, auto-suspend on/off, suspend after days, auto-unsuspend, terminate after days. Click Run now to process everything immediately.

Optional cron job (cPanel › Cron Jobs)

0 * * * * cd /home/USER/public_html && php artisan schedule:run >/dev/null 2>&1
